In Development, By Design
Building a curriculum (and a company) that’s meant to keep evolving.
We’re four-plus years into Cohd.
Nine-plus years into developing and refining this curriculum.
And right now, I have seven or eight different modules (out of the 25 we cover in our Elevate Program) actively on my docket for updates. In real time.
That might sound overwhelming. It is, a little bit. But it’s also energizing.
Why “done” is not the goal
If our curriculum ever felt complete—if it felt static—that would run counter to everything we espouse. Leadership development is about growth. It’s about evolution. If I ever took the stance that our content was perfect or untouchable, I’d be embodying the very fixed mindset we caution people against.
Yes, our tools are tried and true. They work. They’re tangible. They’ll always be the backbone of Cohd’s curriculum. But the way we frame them, the narratives we weave around them, and the ways we make the ideas stick? Those are always ripe for refinement.
Collaboration is the fuel
Bringing more coaches into the fold has given me something I didn’t realize I’d been missing until I had it: collaboration.
Explaining the bird’s-eye view of the curriculum, catching the gaps I’d been unconsciously filling, hearing fresh ideas from other talented and thoughtful people—it’s been incredibly refreshing. This work is bigger and better when it’s not just my perspective. Cohd will always get stronger as more people lean in with curiosity, care, and creativity.
Growth mindset in action
So right now, I’m refining frameworks. I’m tightening slides and strengthening narratives. I’m weaving in new books, new ideas, new ways to make things sticky. And I’m constantly asking myself:
What should never change?
Where are we open to making it better?
That balance—the stability of what works, plus the humility to know there’s always a better way—that’s where the magic happens.
A promise
Ultimately, this is what excites me most: the promise that anyone who works with me, or with Cohd, can trust that the curriculum is alive. It’s not frozen in time. It’s always becoming stronger, sharper, more resonant.
That’s growth.
That’s alignment.
And that’s what I want to pour into every Elevater who joins us.
