This week in The Practice Plan, we’re discussing committed actions. Years ago, this was a concept with dedicated slides in the Elevate Program, but over time, they were removed for the sake of simplicity and timing.

But committed actions still show up within a number of the tools we teach: constructive feedback, for instance, as well as coaching.

On the surface, the concept of a committed action might actually be deceptively simple. We’re stating what we are going to do, and by when we’re going to do it. But in reality, there are many nuances and sticking points to successfully using committed actions, and I wanted to address a few of those this week!

Before We Begin

Remember, the power of this work comes not only from understanding it, but practicing it.

  • If you’re an annual subscriber, utilize your 90-week workbook to capture reflections and track your practice.

  • If you’re an Elevate Program Alum, this can also be done in the Cohd Learning Portal.

  • Monthly subscribers can download the practice template below.
