Hey, great read as always. This really resonated. I find a similar objectivity in my Pilates practice – slowing down helps you spot those hidden tensions or incorrect forms you dont even realize you're doing.
I love this! One of the first lessons we cover in the Elevate Program is mindfulness. If we want to show up differently and catch ourselves in these habits, we have to build the muscle of slowing down and being present. I'm a huge fan of mindful movement.. especially for folks who feel intimidated by the idea of meditation. We can find mindfulness in so many places, and the benefits trickle into every corner of our world.
We’re usually up our ladder in seconds and it’s happening completely subconsciously. I’ve found it can be so helpful to have an understand of how our thinking works and what our “default setting” actually looks like. It makes the noticing so much easier!
